Emery Brown at work, 2015 

Emery N. Brown is the Edward Hood Taplin Professor of Medical Engineering and Computational Neuroscience at MIT and an anesthesiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Dr. Brown's research on new strategies for anesthesia received a 2007 National Institutes of Health Director’s Pioneer Award and a 2012 National Institutes of Health Director’s Transformative Research Award.
