Shantytown built by members of the MIT Coalition Against Apartheid, 28 March 1986

Shantytown built by members of the MIT Coalition Against Apartheid as part of a campaign by students to get the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. Moments after this picture was taken, MIT Campus Police raided the encampment and arrested all of the protesters.
