An Avoidable Black Eye for MIT: Professor James Sherley Is Dismissed and His Laboratory Padlocked, 2007

Abstract

The saga of black professor James L. Sherley at MIT appears to be concluded. On June 30 the university terminated his employment and locked the doors to his stem-cell research laboratory. While Professor Sherley is no longer a professor at MIT, his charges of institutional racism are likely to be a burden to the university for years to come.
